Jean-Marie was born and raised in New York, just a train ride away from the city. She started acting in the third grade as a munchkin and a flying monkey in her high schools production of The Wizard of Oz. As any other parent would do, her mom tried to get her into acting and after a handful of disastrous auditions, gave up on the idea seeming it was not fate. BUT HOW WRONG SHE WAS!!!
After continuing to do theatre throughout middle and high school, Jean-Marie went to thrive at Dean College studying musical theatre. She was seen in Main Stage Productions and was nominated for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for her work in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Footloose, Wonderful Town, and Curtains in which she is a two-time finalist for the Richard Maltby Jr. award for Musical Theatre. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in the midst of the pandemic, but that did not stop her from creating.
After graduating, she was a part of the World Premiere Production of Daughters With Daggers AND Daughters with Daggers 2: The Lion and the Bull by Andrew Beauregard. She expanded into the world of Television and Film, and has since performed in many short films, a feature, and a pilot. She still has more unannounced tricks up her sleeves and is excited to hopefully share with you soon…
